Zain Saudi Arabia (7030) reported third-quarter 2026 net profit of SAR 138 million, down 9.8% from SAR 153 million a year earlier, even as revenue rose 3% to SAR 2.834 billion.
Operating profit slips despite sales growth
Gross profit climbed 1.6% to SAR 1.666 billion, but operating profit fell 7.2% to SAR 295 million, versus SAR 318 million a year earlier. Net profit was also 32.4% below the second quarter’s SAR 204 million.
Nine-month results tell a different story
For the first nine months of 2026, net profit increased 45% to SAR 541 million from SAR 373 million, while revenue edged up 0.6% to SAR 8.141 billion. The figures illustrate a difference between the latest quarterly momentum and year-to-date earnings.
Investor focus
Key indicators to watch include operating margins, network expenses, financing costs and capital spending. Investors will seek clarity on whether the third-quarter slowdown is temporary or signals a broader earnings trend.
