Alarabia Q3 Loss Widens to SAR 241.9 Million; Debt Reclassification Set for Q4

Arabian Contracting Services Co. (Alarabia, 4071) reported on November 5, 2026, a third-quarter net loss attributable to shareholders of SAR 241.9 million, compared with a restated loss of SAR 82.5 million a year earlier. Its nine-month loss reached SAR 447.5 million, against a restated profit of SAR 47.2 million.

Sequential revenue recovery fails to narrow the loss

Third-quarter revenue fell 16.2% year on year to SAR 346.8 million, but rose 31.4% from the second quarter. The net loss nevertheless widened 12.8% sequentially. Nine-month revenue declined 25.2% to approximately SAR 1.03 billion.

The company attributed the weaker performance to lower advertising spending, campaign cancellations and budget cuts amid regional tensions. Higher contractual costs, rent, depreciation and financing expenses also weighed on results as operational challenges delayed completion of its advertising network.

    Comparative figures were restated

Alarabia restated its third-quarter and nine-month 2025 comparatives following a reassessment of the accounting for a subsidiary contract under IFRS 16 Leases. The auditor’s unmodified conclusion included an emphasis-of-matter paragraph concerning this treatment. Year-on-year comparisons therefore use the restated figures.

SAR 1.75 billion debt rescheduling belongs to Q4

The disclosure also detailed a subsequent event: agreements signed on October 29 with Saudi Awwal Bank, BSF and Al Rajhi Bank to reschedule approximately SAR 1.752 billion of short-term loans into medium- and long-term debt. The arrangements included SAR 300 million in additional facilities from Saudi Awwal Bank within existing facilities.

Repayment extends over seven years, with a grace period of up to one year. Because the agreements were signed after September 30, the loan reclassification will be reflected in the fourth quarter of 2026 rather than the September statements. Credit facilities are financing, not operating revenue.

    What should investors watch?

Today’s November 5 results announcement is the company’s central development. Market News view: sequential revenue growth did not prevent a wider loss, placing network operating costs and financing expenses at the center of future-results monitoring. The Q4 2026 loan reclassification should be assessed separately from Q3 operating performance, without assuming an undisclosed earnings benefit.
