Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) reported approximately $5.7 billion in third-quarter revenue and $417 million in net income on 20 October 2026. Adjusted earnings were $0.60 per share, versus reported earnings of $0.50.
Saudi Arabia and Kuwait support regional activity
Middle East/Asia revenue increased 8% from the previous quarter to about $1.4 billion, supported by stronger Saudi and Kuwaiti activity. The CEO outlined an early outlook for an operating margin near 15% in 2027, a forward-looking target rather than an achieved result.
What the results could mean for investors
Analytically, an energy-services supplier benefits when producers’ spending becomes executable work that is paid for. Assessing the opportunity therefore requires attention to contract margins, costs and working capital, rather than oil prices alone.
Regional activity can develop at different speeds, so strength in one market cannot guarantee group-wide improvement. Sustainable cash conversion and spending discipline remain important tests.
What traders should monitor
Watch margins, cash flow, contract execution and progress toward management targets. Producers’ earnings and investment plans offer a useful companion to the oilfield-services outlook.
