Astra Industrial Group (1212) reported net profit attributable to shareholders of SAR 134.7 million for the third quarter of 2026, compared with SAR 167.4 million a year earlier, a decline of about 19.5%. The results were announced on 25 October.
Lower sales weigh on the quarter
Quarterly revenue fell 19.7% to SAR 586.1 million as sales weakened in pharmaceuticals and steel industries. Operating profit declined to SAR 144.3 million. Lower expenses and provisions in some areas helped soften the impact.
Nine-month performance
Net profit for the first nine months was SAR 499.9 million, compared with SAR 514.2 million a year earlier. Revenue fell 5.5% to around SAR 2.15 billion, while gross profit increased 1.1% to approximately SAR 1.06 billion, illustrating that sales and gross profit need not move at the same pace.
What should investors watch?
Following the announcement, attention turns to demand recovery, the sales mix across segments and expense control. Stabilising sales could support performance, but subsequent results are needed before drawing conclusions about a lasting turnaround.
